Evening is a time to get together with
your family (usually held on Monday nights) to learn
more about the gospel (or other topics if your family
needs it) and to have fun time together. This
page can be used for Family Home Evening, Nursery, and
Primary. However, the church leaders wants those
in Primary to use ONLY CHURCH APPROVED MATERIALS.
These are found at the Gospel Library Archive (anything
published by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day
Saints). The others you will need to choose
wisely for FHE. You can search for any of the
church resources from the Friend, Ensign,
Liahona/Tambulilit, or the Liahona/Friend (from 1995),
and other curriculum resources-manuals, FHE Resource
Book; etc. at the previous link. |

Place a bean (seed) in the bottom of the bag or bottle. Watch it grow. Dampen the paper towel every day or so. Measure it every day (and even more than once a day). You can then put it into soil if you like. (Some beans/seeds don't grow so do more than one.) If you plant it in soil, put the roots facing downward. The bean(s) or seed will need to be out of the soil (depending when you plant it). Make sure you only dampen the soil some when you water it. (Too much water will make it die.) Go to: Bean Germination and Growth to see the different stages of the bean. Activity

Idea: Do you ... know what reverence is? Younger children will probably say "No". Do you know what, it is when we talk really quiet (whisper this part) like if Jesus was here with us right now. (Show a small picture of Jesus or Jesus with little children). Look at him, ... What do you think about when you see a picture of Jesus? Would he want us to talk quietly (maybe even whisper (whisper this))? I think he would (whisper this). Maybe sing a song about reverence. How about we take this picture to church with us and think about Jesus when we are at church. How can you be reverent (quite) at church? (I can ...) I think Jesus and Heavenly Father would want us to be quiet there. Let's remember to talk quietly and think of him while we are at church. Do you think Jesus and Heavenly Father would like that?
